Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff in a 16-bed small-format hospital. The role involves indirect and some direct patient care under an RN, with duties including vital signs, basic care, and patient preparation.

Shift is days (7a-7p), full-time, with opportunities for growth and to work within a team-focused, diverse environment. BLS and CNA preferred, HS diploma required; Oklahoma hires may prefer existing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience as a Nursing Assistant or enrolled in accredited nursing program; preferred for Oklahoma.
• Fluency in English; clear written and verbal communication.
• Must be able to perform duties with physical requirements (standing, walking, lifting).

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced indirect and selected direct patient care under RN direction.
• Delivers care within PCA scope, reports abnormal findings to nurse.
• Helps with activities of daily living and mobility; transports patients.
• Maintains equipment and rooms orderly; performs data entry and unit clerk tasks.
