Emerus, a leader in small-format hospitals, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant/PNP/CNA for the Harmar location. The role involves supporting the nursing process under an RN and performing related clerical tasks, with focus on growth and development across life cycles.

The position requires delivering advanced indirect and some direct patient care, coordinating with the healthcare team, and maintaining patient rooms and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience as a Nursing Assistant or enrolled in accredited nursing program; PA hires may require this.
• Ability to understand instructions and perform basic math; can handle duties with increased responsibilities.
• English fluency required; able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced indirect and selected direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with meals, mobility, and patient transportation; perform data entry and unit clerk tasks.
• Maintain equipment and patient rooms; monitor vital signs, glucose checks, and prepare patients for procedures.
• Ensure safe care following policies within budget and timelines.
