Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Patient Care Assistant/ PCA/CNA for the Harmarville location. You will support nursing staff with direct and indirect patient care, monitor vitals, perform glucose checks, EKGs, and assist with meals, mobility, and transport. Strong teamwork and adherence to PPE protocols are essential.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, current BLS, and English fluency; CNA preferred. Job type is PRN Day Shift with night/weekend differentials and benefits such as 401K

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 2 years of work experience in an acute care hospital as a Nursing Assistant or enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
• Fluency in English required.
• PA Act 33 and Act 73 clearances within last 5 years or before start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced indirect and selected direct patient care per PCA scope under RN supervision.
• Take vital signs, glucose checks, EKGs and maintain related records; manage intake/output.
• Assist with meals, hygiene, mobility, and transport within the facility; keep patient rooms clean and organized.
• Ensure safe care following policies and within budget and time constraints.
