ForMotion Clinic in Lynchburg, VA seeks a Patient Care Specialist (PCS) to enhance patient experience and support daily clinic operations. You will greet patients, register them, and help compile chart documentation while assisting clinical and technical staff.

You will schedule appointments, verify insurance, manage demographics in the EMR, and help maintain patient records. Some duties include marketing support, teamwork, and ongoing training in processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience using Microsoft Office.
• 1-2 years of healthcare and medical office experience preferred using EMR systems or equivalent skill set.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and support clinic operations.
• Assist in maintaining complete patient records in the EMR per policy.
• Verify insurance benefits and collect patient responsibility payments.
• Schedule appointments and manage demographics and referrals in EMR.
• Provide administrative support and maintain a paperless workflow where possible.
• Support marketing efforts to build relationships with local referral sources.
• Maintain professional relationships with patients and staff.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain knowledge of products and processes.
• May obtain prior authorization and assist in item pricing as required.
