Job summary

ForMotion Clinic, part of a global network, is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to deliver an exceptional patient experience and support clinic operations. You will greet patients, register them, and help maintain accurate chart documentation while coordinating with clinical staff.

Responsibilities include scheduling, collecting insurance information, verifying benefits, updating the EMR, and assisting with billing and authorizations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Experience using Microsoft Office.
• 1-2 years of healthcare and medical office experience preferred using EMR systems or equivalent skill set.

Responsibilities

• Answers the telephone and triages inquiries or directs callers to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules appointments, verifies demographics and insurance in EMR, and collects documentation.
• Maintains complete patient records in the EMR per company policies.
• Requests documentation from physicians and other providers for patient records.
• Verifies insurance benefits and communicates billing policies and patient responsibilities.
• Maintains WIP to ensure timely delivery of patient devices per timelines and standards.
• Keeps a clean, safe environment and prepares treatment rooms; supports infection control.
• Provides administrative support and supports marketing efforts with referral sources.
• Maintains professional relationships with patients and staff; participates in ongoing training.
