Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
• Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

Responsibilities

• Register new patients and assist with form completion.
• Obtain insurance information and counsel on financial assistance.
• Review schedule for new patients and update as needed.
• Call patients with appointment reminders and collect insurance/referral information.
• Explain billing process to patients and respond to inquiries from patients and third-party payers.
• Explain billing processes to staff and assist with basic account maintenance.
• Assist patients with questions regarding the billing process.
• Assist with sending reminders and other scheduling tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
