Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
• Billing systems and third-party claims experience is relevant.

Responsibilities

• Obtain insurance information from patients and counsel on financial assistance options.
• Register new patients and assist with form completion.
• Review schedule for new patients and update as needed.
• Call patients with appointment reminders and collect insurance information/referral forms.
• Explain billing processes to patients and respond to inquiries from patients and payers.
• Assist with basic account maintenance and communicate with staff.
