The position emphasizes collaboration with clinical and billing teams, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining accurate patient data to ensure a smooth patient experience from pre-treatment through follow-up. Easton, MD-based contract-to-hire opportunity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of patient access, insurance verification, benefits, or revenue cycle experience.
• Knowledge of medical insurance, authorizations, and eligibility verification.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for helping patients.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits.
• Educate patients on co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses.
• Assist patients with financial assistance programs and payment options.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and referral approvals.
• Collaborate with clinical, billing, and front-office teams to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Maintain accurate patient information and ensure HIPAA compliance.
