Ascension Saint Joseph in Chicago is seeking a Behavioral Health Sitter for the night shift (7:00 pm – 7:30 am), full-time. You will remain at the bedside, help calm or reorient patients, remove hazards, and document observations to support safe, compassionate care.

Previous hospital experience is highly preferred, and certifications such as BLS CPR and CPI are valued. This role offers competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within Ascension’s health system.

Formación

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of related experience.
• Preferred BLS Provider CPR (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• CPI Crisis Prevention certification preferred.
• Previous hospital experience highly preferred.

• Assists in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
• Removes visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and reports as appropriate.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • None Required.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention credentialed from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
