Job summary

Ascension Saint Joseph in Chicago, IL, seeks a Behavioral Health professional for the Adult Inpatient Unit to lead care planning, monitor patient progress, advocate for resources, and coordinate with supervisors and health providers to ensure effective health plan implementation.

The role requires licensure in Illinois and a master's-level credential in Behavioral Science or related field, with preferred experience in behavioral health settings.

Qualifications

• Clinical licensure per Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation required prior to hire or transfer date.
• Master's Degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or Psychology required.
• LPC/LSW licensure required.
• Behavioral health experience preferred.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• One or more of the following required:
• Clinical Counselor credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Counselor credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Social Worker credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• Master's Degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or Psychology required
• LPC/LSW licensure required
• Behavioral Health experience preferred
