Ascension in Chicago, IL, is seeking a dedicated team member to join the Emergency Department for night shift coverage (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.), full-time, 3 x 12's with rotating weekends and holidays.

You will guide patients, provide daily personal care, monitor changes, and maintain clean, safe rooms. Licensure options include EMT, LVN/LPN, or Nurse Aide with BLS or related certification within 30 days.

Competenze

• Credential(s) required: EMT, Practical/Vocational Nurse, or Nurse Aide per IL rules.
• BLS Provider or Instructor credentials required within 30 days of hire.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • Required Credential(s):
  • One or more of the following:
    • Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Illinois Board Of Division of Emergency Medical Services and Highway Safety obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Intermediate or Advanced also acceptable.
    • Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Nurse Aide credentialed from the Illinois Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Nursing student who has completed on semester of medical surgical nursing is also acceptable.
  • One or more of the following:
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
