Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Admissions Coordinator for 100% onsite work at the Clanton location. The role handles admissions, insurance coordination and patient communications with a strong emphasis on accuracy and customer service.

The position requires a High School diploma and 0-2 years of related experience, with preferred familiarity in medical terminology and patient registration processes. Excellent attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• 1 year of patient registration experience.
• 1 year of experience working with medical insurances.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete and accurate demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain required signatures on consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data in computer systems and document admissions accurately.
• Notify patients and families of insurance coverage issues and deposits.
• Ensure completeness of physician orders and Medicare ABN when needed.
• Provide high level customer service and escalate issues as needed.
