Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to join our 100% onsite team in Pell City, AL. The role involves registering patients, capturing complete demographic and financial information, and guiding them through insurance processes.

The position supports liaison duties among patients, families, and hospital staff, with varied shifts including nights. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, 0–2 years of experience, and familiarity with medical terminology and registrations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of prior relevant experience
• Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM.
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• 1 year of experience with Patient Registration
• 1 year of experience working with medical insurances.

Responsibilities

• Register incoming patients and collect demographic information.
• Explain hospital regulations and assign rooms based on illness and accommodation.
• Enter data on admitting forms and assist with insurance matters.
• Serve as liaison between patients, families, visitors and hospital staff.
• Notify patients and families of insurance coverage issues, co-pays, and deposits.
• Review physician orders for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain safety and compliance with policies and procedures.
