Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Admissions Coordinator at UAB St. Vincent's Chilton in Clanton, AL to manage inpatient and outpatient admissions. You will register patients, collect demographics, explain hospital policies, and assist with insurance matters while coordinating with patients, families, and hospital staff.

The role offers part-time shifts (days, evenings, nights) with potential weekend work. A high school diploma and 0–2 years of experience are required, with EPIC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Register incoming patients and enter admitting information.
• Explain hospital regulations and assist in insurance matters.
• Assign patients to rooms when appropriate.
• Act as liaison between patients and hospital staff.
• Obtain patient signatures on consents and insurance forms.
• Notify about insurance coverage issues and collect co-pays.
