Formación

• 0-2 years of admissions, customer service and/or public relations experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients accurately, inputting information into the registration system and obtaining signatures on consent and authorization forms.
• Verify insurance coverage and determine plan codes to ensure correct billing and prompt payment.
• Explain legal/financial documents to patients and families as required (ABNs, etc.).
• Counsel self-pay patients on costs, options, and resources, documenting interactions.
• Secure and log patient valuables for safekeeping during admission.
• Place patient identification armbands for accurate identification and continuity of care.
• Review physician orders to determine registration steps and ensure correct order entry for related departments.
• Notify departments/physicians of patient arrivals and follow up on delays to assure timely service.
• Assist with inpatient bed assignments, coordinating with nursing to match needs with resources.
• Operate multi-line phones, relay messages accurately and promptly.
• Support emergency code communication and facility emergency plans as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
