Job description

• Provide every patient with an exceptional and positive experience, striving for patient loyalty and confidence
• Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors courteously and professionally
• Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations/referrals from insurance companies as required
• Provide basic financial counseling regarding insurance benefits, coverage limitations, out-of-pocket expenses, and co-payments
• Perform hospital cash reconciliation and secure payment entry according to financial and cash control policies and procedures
• Assist with questions regarding scheduling guidelines and clinical protocols
• Serve as a liaison between Patient Access Representatives and clinics to resolve scheduling errors and patient issues
• Collaborate with clinical staff, administrative personnel, and other departments to coordinate patient care activities and transitions between registration and clinical services
• Work hours and days as needed based on departmental/system demands
• Perform other duties as assigned
