AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida is hiring for a full-time Patient Access/Registration role. You will proactively verify eligibility and benefits, schedule patients, and guide them through insurance processes to prevent denials.

You will collaborate with clinical teams, perform data entry in EMR systems, and explain coverage while collecting payments and copays. The role demands strong communication, multitasking, and a patient-first attitude, with growth and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; preferred hospital admissions exposure.
• Experience with patient scheduling, insurance verification, and billing preferred.
• Proficient with EMR systems and basic Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong communication and confidentiality practices in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility and plan benefits to avoid denials.
• Register patients, schedule appointments, and collect relevant information.
• Explain insurance coverage and collect payments at time of service.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure timely documentation.
• Maintain accurate data entry and meet departmental performance goals.
