Job summary

Ensemble is seeking an experienced Patient Access Supervisor to coordinate registration duties, train staff, and monitor performance metrics in a fast-paced health-system setting.

The role steers staff scheduling, real-time productivity, and upfront collections coaching, with on-call coverage as needed. AI-enabled process improvements and certifications such as CHAM/CRCR are preferred, reflecting a commitment to service excellence across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in patient access, registration, or related roles.
• Ability to train staff and monitor daily performance metrics.
• Certification in CHAM or CRCR is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all registration duties with direct and indirect reporting staff and provides training.
• Reviews reporting on key metrics (point of service, wait times, overtime, productivity) and communicates findings.
• Schedules staff, rotates shifts, and manages time-off to minimize overtime and maximize productivity.
• Manages upfront collection process tracking and coaching with performance improvement actions.
• Participates in on-call rotation, providing guidance by phone and stepping in as needed.
• Develops and documents department processes; conducts training and audits to ensure quality and compliance.
• Acts as resource for staff and other departments, upholding standards of service excellence.
• Leads projects related to implementation, tracking, and process changes; reports to Patient Access Leadership.
• Participates in daily facility activities and gathers department statistics as assigned.
• Supports staff evaluations and attendance systems; attends required meetings for process alignment.
• Supports AI-driven workflow improvements and oversees the exploration and application of AI solutions.
