Job summary

Reynolds Memorial Hospital is seeking a patient access supervisor to oversee registration, scheduling, and insurance verification within our health system. You will ensure timely, courteous service to patients and coordinate with departments and external sources to maintain smooth patient processing.

The role requires prior experience in patient financial services and supervisory responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on policy adherence and continuous staff development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HFMA CRCR Certification within 1 year of hire.
• Two years of patient financial services, patient access, or registration experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of third party payors and billing processes desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates registration and scheduling activities.
• Maintains knowledge of third party payor and managed care requirements.
• Oversees verification, notification and pre-certification to minimize denials.
• Provides daily supervision to staff for courteous service to patients and visitors.
• Ensures adherence to policies and assists in updating departmental procedures.
• Coordinates with other departments and outside sources to ensure continuity of care.
