Job summary

Renown Health is seeking a Registration Specialist to support patient intake, scheduling, order entry, and reception across admitting sites. The role gathers demographic, insurance, clinical, financial, and statistical data to enable smooth admissions and accurate billing.

You will verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations, explain forms, collect co-pays, and document information while maintaining confidentiality. The role requires customer service in a fast-paced health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months of admitting, medical claims processing, professional office experience and/or customer service experience with financial interaction.
• Experience with Windows operating systems, SMS InVision, Internet and SMS IMS Document Imaging is also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register, schedule, order entry and reception functions across admitting sites.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required authorizations.
• Explain and obtain signatures on admission, clinical and financial forms.
• Collect demographic, clinical, and financial information accurately.
• Document information timely and in accordance with department requirements.
