Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a registration supervisor to direct operations for multiple patient types and shifts within the Patient Access department. You will assist the Manager in directing registration functions, ensuring high quality and productivity, and coordinating with the Business Office on verification, pre-certification, pre-registration, and billing inquiries.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, experience in billing and collections, and proficiency with computer systems.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED: B.S./B.A./Associate in Business plus two years registration or equivalent receivables/management experience, OR HS diploma plus five years registration or two years supervisory experience.
• Ability to train and direct employees.
• Ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated knowledge of billing, insurance verification, and collection procedures, and general knowledge of computers and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees operations of registration activities for multiple patient types and shifts within the Patient Access department.
• Assists the Manager in overall direction and control of registration functions, operations, and personnel.
• Ensures standards for quality and productivity are met.
• Coordinates activities with Business Office: insurance verification, pre-certification of admissions, pre-registration, collections at/before admission, and patient billing inquiries.
