Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital - Emergency Room seeks a Supervisor of Patient Access to manage daily operations of the patient access unit and ensure accurate collection of demographics, financial and regulatory data.

Responsibilities include negotiating payment arrangements, using hospital financial policies, and preparing budgets, statistics and policy documents; some travel is required and on-call coverage may be needed to cover all shifts.

Qualifications

• High School completion or GED required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• HFMA CRCR within two years of role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the patient access unit.
• Ensure timely collection of demographics, financial and regulatory information.
• Negotiate payment arrangements or medical bank financing; refer to public assistance when appropriate.
• Prepare statistical data, budget and policy/procedure manuals.
• Demonstrate proactive problem solving and cross-functional collaboration.
