Job summary

Astera Health is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Supervisor to lead the clinic registration and scheduling functions across its network. The role ensures high-quality patient interactions and strong coordination with other departments, maintaining efficient front desk operations.

The supervisor will hire, train, and develop staff, manage scheduling to meet staffing needs, and participate in budgetary planning while staying within FTE limits. Occasional travel to satellite clinics is required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Medical or Administrative Assistant or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Registration/scheduling experience in a healthcare facility.
• Combined education and experience to perform essential duties is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, plans, and monitors scheduling and registration processes to ensure excellent customer service.
• Oversees daily activities of appointment and front desk across Astera Health clinics.
• Ensures accurate, timely, and compliant patient scheduling and registration.
• Identifies issues and leads problem solving with team to resolve system issues.
• Hires, trains, and develops staff; conducts department meetings and rounds with staff.
