University of Miami's UHealth – Department of Patient Access seeks a Supervisor, Patient Access to oversee front desk operations at the assigned clinic. You will manage registration staff, ensure a welcoming, accessible environment, and monitor patient flow to meet service goals.

You'll also train staff, enforce policies, verify demographics, explain consent and financial responsibilities, and lead performance improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; related experience may be considered.
• Proven ability to manage performance, coach staff, and delegate tasks.
• Experience training staff and improving front desk workflows.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Ability to use standard office software and patient management systems.

Responsabilités

• Supervises registration staff and monitors daily volume and workflow.
• Ensures adherence to policies, procedures, and patient privacy guidelines.
• Plans, schedules, and allocates resources to meet service levels.
• Communicates patient flow issues to management.
• Verifies patient information and updates records as needed.
• Explains consent, financial liability, and HIPAA to patients.
• Addresses performance issues and initiates improvement plans.
• Aims to collect outstanding balances and manage daily postings.
• Identifies opportunities to improve registration processes and controls.
• Ensures compliance with University policies and internal controls.
• Performs duties as needed to support unit operations.
