The role involves coordinating with nursing teams, arranging referrals and pre-authorizations, and handling multi-line phones while maintaining high-quality customer service in person or over the phone.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education or equivalent training in healthcare or business field preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in an office setting, preferably healthcare.
• Knowledge of registration procedures, extensive computer skills, billing systems, and third party payers preferred.

Responsibilities

• REGISTRATION - Greet patients & verifies demographics; creating, scanning & routing documents or electronic forms; establish financial responsibility and assist with arrangements.
• SCHEDULING - Coordinate with nursing team & providers to schedule appointments; obtain referrals & pre-authorization; arrange interpreter services.
• ADDITIONAL DUTIES - Prepare & coordinate charts; organize provider documents; track patient visits & health information on accounts; assist with Telemed appointments and recalls.
