Job summary

Boulder Medical Center is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist (Patient Access Associate) to join the Urgent Care team. This part-time role involves greeting patients, scheduling, and efficient front-desk operations in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, phone, and data entry skills, with knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA. Spanish bilingual skills are a plus, with 16 hours weekly and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong grammar and spelling, English proficiency.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone promptly and assess appointment type needs.
• Summarize appointment details prior to ending calls.
• Manage phone functions: transfers, holds, afterhours message.
• Record patient information accurately in EMR with proper spelling.
• Schedule/reschedule/cancel appointments per provider protocol.
• Input relevant demographic information and arrivals in EMR.
