Responsibilities

• Arrives patients for services, collects co-pay and deductible amounts, obtains necessary signatures from guarantor at registration or arrival.
• Accurately documents all information in the appropriate fields and/or account notes, including demographics and insurance details.
• Courteously answers the telephone and addresses questions promptly.
• Identifies uninsured/underinsured patients and refers them to the Financial Counselor.
• Verifies insurance coverage and obtains authorizations for patients not pre-registered.
• Maintains positive relationships with patients, families, insurers, clinicians, coworkers and management to promote teamwork.
• Organizes, prioritizes, and monitors daily work to ensure complete, accurate, compliant registration in a timely manner.
