University Hospitals is seeking a Patient Access Representative at UH South Primary Care in Parma, OH. This role serves as the initial contact for patients, ensuring accurate demographic, insurance, and payment data and guiding patients through MyChart enrollment.

The position emphasizes strong communication, organization, and confidentiality as you support the care team and help maintain efficient patient flow and appointments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Customer Service (Required).
• 1+ years of Customer Service in healthcare (Preferred).

Responsabilités

• Check patients in and out for medical visits.
• Answer the phone to address patient inquiries and schedule appointments.
• Assist patients with enrolling and utilizing MyChart.
• Enter, update and validate patient demographics, insurance & financial information.
• Communicate information to the medical care team.
• May contact insurance companies regarding coverage, preapprovals, billing.
• Collect and process patient payments for copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and prior balances.
• Assist with completion of paperwork and forms.
• Work EPIC workqueues, worklists and inbasket messages.
• Schedule referrals and follow-up visits.
• Scan documents into EPIC accurately.
