Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the initial point of contact for patients and families. You will verify demographic, insurance and payment information, assist with MyChart use, and coordinate scheduling with the care team to support a smooth patient experience.

You will also handle front-desk tasks, process payments for visits, navigate EPIC queues, and help with referrals, documentation, and PHI security in line with UH policies.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out for visits.
• Answer phone and schedule appointments.
• Assist patients with enrolling and using MyChart.
• Enter and validate patient demographic, insurance, and payment information.
• Communicate information to care team and coordinate referrals.
• Process patient payments for copays, coinsurance, and balances.
• Complete paperwork and forms as required.
• Navigate EPIC workqueues and inbasket messages.
• Schedule referrals and follow-up visits.
• Scan documents accurately into EPIC.
