Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a PRN Patient Access Center Representative to cover high call volume and assist with scheduling, registration, and eligibility verification. The role requires full-time onsite training in Katy, TX, with non-benefitted status and non-exempt (FLSA).

You will act as front-line support for patients, physicians, and staff while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high customer-service standards.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in healthcare setting/call center or customer service operations or successful completion of one-year Houston Methodist Call Center Apprenticeship in lieu of years of experience
• Healthcare setting knowledge and experience with a strong understanding of medical terminology preferred

Responsibilities

• Schedules and registers patients for services using computerized systems.
• Verifies patient eligibility and benefits to ensure financial clearance.
• Provides excellent customer service when communicating with patients, physicians and staff.
