UCA Women's Center in Homewood, AL is seeking an Appointment Scheduler to manage patient appointments, verify demographics and insurance, and coordinate with clinical teams. You will ensure accurate scheduling, minimize delays, and provide compassionate service to patients while maintaining HIPAA-compliant practices.

The role requires strong communication, data entry, and collaboration with staff to optimize provider schedules and improve access for patients across locations.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in medical scheduling or call center preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information per HIPAA.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule patient appointments according to guidelines.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Offer earliest appointment availability and alternatives.
• Maintain scheduling templates and provider rules.
• Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments.
• Identify urgent appointment requests and escalate promptly.
• Provide professional patient communication.
• Manage calls efficiently and meet productivity expectations.
• Enter and maintain patient data in EHR systems.
• Coordinate referrals and authorizations as needed.
• Optimize schedule to minimize gaps and delays.
• Communicate with staff to resolve scheduling issues.
• Document patient requests and follow up tasks.
• Assist with appointment confirmations and outreach.
• Protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Participate in training and process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
