Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Two years of customer service experience in call center, physician's office, or retail/service industry.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Strong typing and computer skills required.
• Basic understanding of insurance terminology required.

Responsibilities

• Create and schedule appointments in the EMR.
• Gather demographic and payer information; advise on copays, referrals, and pre-service deposits.
• Interact with patients, physicians, staff and family members.
• Provide exceptional service; navigate multiple systems and conversations.
• Manage scheduling workflows across calls, online requests, and faxes.
• Promote patient safety and quality.
