Job summary

Sigma Systems, Inc. in partnership with UMASS Worcester seeks a Patient Access Representative/Registrar to support the Revenue Cycle in Worcester, MA. This 3 months Temp-to-Perm role offers a full-time schedule and on-site work.

You will register patients, verify insurance, schedule services, collect payments, and maintain accurate records across departments, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year+ healthcare patient access, registration, admissions, scheduling, or related experience.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environments.
• Greeting and assisting patients with professionalism and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and accurately enter demographic, insurance, and related information.
• Verify insurance eligibility, referrals, pre-authorizations, and pre-certifications.
• Schedule radiology, laboratory, and ancillary service appointments.
• Collect patient financial responsibilities including copays and balances.
• Maintain accurate records and coordinate cross-department services.
