Qualifications

• Skills: Able to work in a multi-task setting; process electronic information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients for visits, explains the registration process, and answers questions.
• Processes co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances; safeguards cash.
• Completes Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjusts coverage accordingly.
• Obtains signatures on consent and financial forms; scans and records documents.
• Counsels patients on non-covered services and ABNs; handles signatures.
• Monitors waiting area for a smooth registration flow and patient experience.
• Responds to patient concerns and safety issues, maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintains neat, secure registration desk and patient information.
