Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Patient Access Representative to verify insurance, collect demographics, and support registration and billing processes across departments. You will interact with patients, families, and clinical staff to ensure accurate data and smooth admissions.

Experience in healthcare admin, strong communication, and ability to multitask on a busy schedule (nights/weekends potential) are essential; a high school diploma is required, with a Bachelor’s degree

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in healthcare or related clerical, accounting, or customer service.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education may be considered in lieu of experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and families to obtain complete and accurate demographic and financial information.
• Enters data into system for registration, billing, patient tracking, charge capture, and reconciliation.
• Verifies insurance coverage and/or validates authorizations if applicable.
• Explains regulatory financial requirements to patient and collects deposits as needed.
• Assists with producing clean claims and coordinating with departments to minimize denials.
