Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a PRN Patient Access Representative to greet patients, manage scheduling, and guide them through MyChart enrollment and use. You’ll accurately enter demographics, insurance data, and payments while coordinating with physicians and care teams.

The role emphasizes compassionate communication, attention to detail, and strict confidentiality within an EPIC-driven environment. Prior healthcare customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Equivalent / GED is required.
• Associate's Degree or progress towards degree preferred.
• Medical Terminology preferred.
• 1+ years of Customer Service experience required.
• 1+ years of Customer Service in healthcare preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and confidentiality skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check patients in and out for medical visits.
• Answer phone calls to help patients with questions, scheduling, and next steps.
• Assist patients with enrolling in and using MyChart.
• Accurately enter, review, and update patient demographic, insurance, and financial information.
• Communicate important details with physicians and clinical care teams.
• Collect and process patient payments, including copays and balances.
• Work in EPIC, including workqueues and document scanning.
• Schedule referrals and follow-up appointments.
• Help patients complete required forms and paperwork.
