You will collect co-pays, uphold patient safety with positive patient identification, and may assist with Medicaid applications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• HFMA Certification Preferred.
• Proficient reading, writing and verbal communication skills; good phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately in hospital or ED via in-person, phone, or virtual methods.
• Verify patient demographics and collect insurance data; create accounts and obtain signatures.
• Assist patients with self-registration and collect co-pays or shares of cost.
• Ensure patient safety using positive patient identification protocols and obtain required consents.
• May assist with Medicaid applications.
• In-person registration may require walking long distances within the facility.
