Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Registration Representative to support accurate hospital/ED patient check-in and registration. You will verify demographics, collect insurance information, and assist patients with self-registration and payments.

The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to work with a diverse patient population. Shift patterns include overnight and day hours with 72 hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant experience
• Ability to read and communicate effectively; good written and verbal communication
• Intermediate math, basic computer skills; scheduling systems knowledge; HFMA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Check-in/admissions/registration of incoming patients in hospital/ED
• Verify patient demographics and collect insurance data
• Assist patients with self-registration and collect co-payments
• Ensure patient safety with positive patient identification and required consents
• Interact professionally with diverse patients and office staff while using scheduling systems
