Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience in a medical/healthcare setting.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients presenting for visits and explains the registration process.
• Processes patient co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances due; reconciles cash drawer daily.
• Completes Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjusts coverage as needed.
• Obtains signatures on forms, scans and records documents in registration.
• Counsels patients on non-covered services and ABNs; coordinates with Financial Counseling as needed.
