Job summary

OSF HealthCare is hiring a Patient Access Associate to ensure accurate patient records, verify demographics, insurance, and guarantor information while guiding patients through financial responsibilities. You’ll deliver courteous service in person or by phone, and navigate multi-payer processes with strong attention to detail.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1 year in an office or customer service setting; onsite work is required with competitive total rewards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year in an office clerical or customer service setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to navigate websites.
• Problem solving, conflict management, time management, and strong communication skills.
• Will complete revenue cycle training and certification within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each registered patient has a complete, accurate OSF medical record with demographics, insurance, and guarantor details.
• Explain services and patients’ financial responsibilities clearly.
• Provide excellent patient service over the phone or in person.
• Apply deductive reasoning to resolve issues in a complex, multi-payer environment.
