Job summary

OSF HealthCare, Peru, IL, seeks a Patient Access Associate to ensure accurate patient records, insurance details, and financial communications. You will greet patients, verify demographics, and explain charges while navigating complex payer environments to support a smooth facility visit.

The role is hourly, 24 hours per week with two 12-hour day shifts (7A–7:30P) and weekend/holiday rotation, including travel up to 25% for training. Excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1 year in an office clerical setting or customer service.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and navigating websites; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each patient has a complete OSF medical record with demographics, insurance, and guarantor information.
• Communicate financial responsibilities and services clearly to patients in person or over the phone.
• Resolve issues in a multi‑payer environment using deductive reasoning.
