Evara Health seeks a Front Desk Representative / Patient Access Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients. You will guide registration, verify insurance, and support financial counseling to ensure timely access to care.

The role emphasizes patient service, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration with clinical staff across 17 locations in Pinellas County. A background in healthcare front office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering frontline patient service in healthcare settings.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and families.
• Respectful and empathetic approach to care access.
• Familiarity with patient registration workflows and EHR basics.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients, guiding them through registration using the AIDET model.
• Respond to patient inquiries in person and by phone, building trust and promoting service culture.
• Complete pre-registration and registration, documenting demographics, identity, financial, and insurance data in the EHR.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; communicate coverage requirements and update records.
• Assist with Medicaid/Medicare and financial programs; explain options and collect payments.
• Coordinate with clinical staff and departments on insurance/financial changes and patient needs.
• Support Telehealth by confirming appointments and preparing patients for visits.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and contribute to a clean, organized work environment.
