Job summary

Evara Health is seeking a Front Desk Representative / Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients across its Pinellas County locations. You will guide patients through registration, verify insurance, and assist with financial programs, ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience.

In this role you will document in the EHR, support Telehealth prep, and coordinate with clinical staff to keep operations efficient and patient-centered in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of Front Office experience in a healthcare setting.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients, guiding them through the registration process using the AIDET model.
• Respond to patient inquiries in person and by phone, building trust with patients and caregivers.
• Complete pre-registration and registration, documenting demographic, identification, financial, and insurance information in the EHR.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and precertification requirements; communicate coverage requirements and update patient records.
• Assist patients with Medicaid, Medicare, insurance affordability programs, financial applications, and payment options; explain financial responsibilities and establish payment arrangements.
• Coordinate with clinical staff and departments regarding changes in insurance or financial status, patient needs, and access-related concerns; support Telehealth services.
• Maintain accurate documentation while following HIPAA, regulatory and safety requirements; support team meetings and front desk standards.
