Job summary

Evara Health in Saint Petersburg, FL, seeks a Front Desk Representative to be the first contact for patients, ensuring smooth registration, accurate data entry, and courteous service.

You will verify insurance, assist with Medicaid/Medicare programs, collect payments, and coordinate with clinical staff to support Telehealth and appointments while upholding HIPAA compliance and patient-centered care standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in front desk or patient registration in healthcare.
• Ability to handle financial entries and insurance basics.
• Strong customer service orientation and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Patient Access & Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing welcoming, individualized service and guiding patients through the registration process using the AIDET model.
• Registration & Insurance Verification: Complete pre-registration and registration, document demographic/financial/insurance information in the EHR; verify insurance eligibility and communicate coverage requirements.
• Assist patients with Medicaid, Medicare, insurance affordability programs, financial applications, and payment options, including documentation and analysis.
• Explain financial responsibilities, establish payment arrangements when appropriate, and collect point-of-service payments per procedures.
• Coordinate with clinical staff and departments regarding changes in insurance or financial status, patient needs, and access-related concerns.
• Support Telehealth by confirming appointments, completing registration requirements, preparing patients for visits, and remaining available to assigned providers.
• Compliance, Operations & Community Support: Maintain accurate documentation while following HIPAA, regulatory and security requirements; support meetings and patient-centered care initiatives.
