Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of registration or medical front office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers, pre-admits, and admits patients by telephone or in person.
• Collects accurate demographic information and reviews insurance benefits.
• Obtains prior authorizations and patient estimates; handles cash collections.
• Interacts with hospital departments to ensure correct reimbursements.
• Refer cases to internal/external sources to assist patients with discharge planning.
