Qualifications

• Three (3) years of registration or medical front office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Thorough knowledge of third-party payers; knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent customer service skills; strong communication abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word).
• Ability to interact effectively with the public, patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers, pre-admits, and admits patients by telephone or in person.
• Collect demographic information and review complex insurance benefits.
• Obtain prior authorizations, provide patient estimates, and process cash collections.
