Advocate Health in Winston-Salem seeks a Patient Services Representative III to support hospital records, billing, and patient access. This full-time role entails pre-registration, insurance verification, and coordinating referrals in a fast-paced outpatient and ED setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with 3 years of customer service experience, strong communication, and knowledge of payer rules. Expect 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, in a 40-hour week with comprehensive benefits.

Competenze

• Interview patients in-person or by phone for records and billing.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-certifications.
• Process internal and external referrals per procedures.
• Handle clerical tasks: phones, messages, chart processing, faxing, scanning.
• Collect upfront deposits or set up payment arrangements.
• Screen for Medicaid/ACA or hospital programs and refer accordingly.
• Adhere to policies on eligibility, benefits, and pre-authorization.
• Register patients across multi-specialty clinics and ED.
• Sequence visits and registrations across platforms.
• Mentor teammates and support performance initiatives.
