Job summary

Advocate Health Wake Forest Baptist seeks a Patient Services Representative III to support patient registration and billing workflows. You will interview patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, and pre-register for admissions across multiple platforms. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years in customer service in a fast-paced setting or equivalent.
• Experience with hospital records and billing systems is preferred.
• Understanding HIPAA requirements and patient privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients in-person or by phone to collect information for hospital records and billing.
• Pre-register patients for admission, partial hospitalization, and outpatient services per policy.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-certifications as needed.
• Handle clerical tasks: phones, messages, chart processing, faxing, scanning.
• Assist with deposits and payment arrangements and financial counseling.
• Screen patients for Medicaid/ACA or hospital financial programs and provide referrals.
• Support team and act as a subject matter expert when needed.
• Maintain compliance with payor requirements and department policies.
