Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Patient Access professional to handle scheduling, preregistration, financial clearance, and insurance verification. This role involves clear explanation of AHN services to patients and families and accurate documentation to support timely bill submission.

You will balance clinical and financial risk while delivering compassionate service and maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 months related experience in medical or financial services/customer service environment preferable.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.

Responsabilidades

• Performs scheduling and preregistration tasks with data validation.
• Verifies insurance information and authorization/referral requirements.
• Calculates patient liabilities and collects payments; posts transactions in ADT system.
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains professional relationships with patients and staff.
• Contributes to productivity by adhering to guidelines and participating in training.
• Follows policies and completes mandatory training within required timelines.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
