Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Patient Access Associate to support scheduling, preregistration, and financial clearance. You will verify benefits, communicate with payors, and document information to ensure accurate bill submission while delivering a positive patient experience.

In this role, you will handle data entry, patient communications, and routine financial calculations, helping patients understand their responsibilities and the services AHN provides.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• One year of related experience preferred, especially in medical or financial services.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduling and preregistration, verifies demographics and benefits.
• Identifies insurance requirements; communicates with payors and physicians.
• Calculates patient financial responsibility and records in the ADT system.
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains professional relationships.
• Supports productivity goals and participates in mandatory trainings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
